[Here, man. Have a red-head running from four others who are at least twice her size. A couple of them are singed but they're persistent and Charlie isn't in the mood to leave crispy friend corpses anywhere. Not if the world has suddenly gone cannibal. That just seems like she's making it easy for the cursed people.

Also? She may need some help getting away and has been bitten quite thoroughly on her arm. It's not missing pieces. Just bleeding. A lot.]

[An indistinct green blur resolves itself into Tommy, easily pacing her as she runs. He glances back at the chasers, guesses the chase-ee is probably not cursed, considering the blood streaming behind her.]

Need a lift?

God, yes. [Is the non hesitant answer. She's starting to tire out and this guy did appear out of nowhere.] Just fair warning, if you bite me I will set you on fire and I would genuinely hate to do that.

[It's only the truth, sir. She's saying this out of the kindness of her heart.]

[It'll let the cannibals gain on them, of course, but that doesn't matter.]

[He took the threat well. That was a good thing, right? She is so happy to stop, she almost falls over. God, she hated running.] I'm Charlie.

[Well, under the circumstances setting him on fire would be a bad move on her part, so it seems worth the risk. No sooner does she stop, than he scoops her up and starts running again-- faster than she was on her own, but not top speed.]

Tommy. Where to, Charlie?

[This is a good point. She let out a slight gasp at how fast they were going, barely managing to point out her apartment and tell Tommy what room she's in. There was a moment where she looked back to watch the group that had been after her but they were long gone. She practically sighed with relief.]

Hey, it's kind of what I do,

[he says, sounding more self-satisfied than the words would imply. Once inside he's content to wait for the elevator; stairs are trickier to navigate. Standing still he looks a little winded, actually, though it's more from the carrying... Never the running.]

Huh. [Charlie steps into the elevator when it arrives.] This place is full of heroes, apparently.

[She absently rubs the back of her arm, wincing and pulling away a bloody hand.] Ugh.

[He shrugs at the first, 'cause well yeah it sort of is, and gives her a closer look. That's probably not good, all that bleeding.]

Maybe I should've dropped you at the hospital, instead?

No. I can ...if you help me get a bandage on, I'll be fine. It's just awkwardly placed.

[Plus, good christ is she terrified of hospitals. Is it showing? She is trying so hard to hide it.]

[He's not going to argue it, at least, not unless closer inspection proves it to be a real mess.]
