If my brother had intended to kill, we would not be having this conversation. I do not intend that as a threat; it's a simple fact. He will apologize, he will make what reparation he can, and he will not lose his temper again. You have his word and mine, which should suffice.

Which must, because there is nothing else you can do to ensure his good behavior.
