You can pace the room if you’d like, but it’s barely a cage; long enough to lay out on the floor in either direction, but not much bigger. At first it seems empty; but after a time the shallow sound of breathing is perceptible, coming from one of the walls. There’s a bed there, little more than a cot, with a supine body on it. Was that there before? Didn’t you walk along the edges of this cell, running a hand over the smooth walls?
It’s still too dark to make out his features, but if you reach out to touch him you’ll find he’s dressed in plain scrubs, bandages here and there on his limbs, and an IV hanging from the wall beside him. He’s totally unconscious.
If you’re anything more or other than human, whatever abilities you have don’t work here. There’s no way out. The walls, the plated door, are too heavy for any shouts to pass to the world outside. There’s no one with a key. No one who cares you’re here, even if they know-- and somehow that thought, when it occurs to you, is worse than anything else. You’ve been left here, and no one’s coming to get you.
You’re stuck.
Now what?
[ooc; open to all, will treat different threads as different ‘instances’ of the dream~ i will prob. be getting to tags in the morning and will backdate forever but I wanted to start gettin' these up~]

[It's reflexive and good-natured, and just for a moment, things seem a little thinner. The room feels larger. The walls seem less impermeable. Tommy starts, but it doesn't last; the nightmare closes back in on them, and he grasps Billy's arms in return because there's nothing, nothing at all he can do. Maybe if he wasn't so dead set on never admitting how much this makeshift family means...
But that's conjecture too sophisticated for dreams.]

It hurts to try and laugh.
[He holds onto Tommy like Tommy can make everything better. Billy would never admit - not ever - how much he loves his twin, because it's not something he talks about.]

I don't get why you're here.

[The words make it so that Billy almost feels the cold cell he had been in, but this is Tommy's dream]

[He shakes his head, a little dizzy. Wrong one, bro. ]

Dunno.
