So this morning I woke up and looked in the mirror, and looked like Billy. And I was kinda pissed, because like, that creepy body-switching curse just happened last month to me and Euphie, so not fair that I pull it two months in a row.

But, nope. No blue glowy magic stuff. I look weird but I feel fine. Still speedy.

And Billy still looks like Billy. So now we both look like Billy.

I don't get it.

Is that such a bad thing?

I don't mind it from you. [Smiling. She's a little amused.]

Good. [He's leading them vaguely towards the park, not so much because he doesn't want to be seen but because it seems a little more pleasant, even in the cold.] I like being able to get away with stuff.

Oh? What else would you like to get away with?

[He stops and gives her a funny smile, shifting so they're face to face instead of side to side, lifting a hand to brush her hair away from her face.]

[She's been expecting something like this, but she finds when he actually does that she starts to blush. Still, she tilts her face up toward him instead of away to hide it.]

[It's not that he's nervous, because he isn't; he just believes in waiting for the right moment. But, with his hand forced, he'll make the most of it. So he kisses her without hesitation.]

[Her eyes close slowly and she kisses him back. It definitely feels different not on a curse day. Well, not on a mistletoe curse day at least.]

[Well, maybe they don't have to go anywhere at all. He draws her a little closer, one hand settling on her waist, kissing her a bit more deeply than he's dared in the past.]

[Anywhere is highly overrated. She allows him access, still kissing him every bit as much in return. She reaches a hand up to settle on the back of his neck. His hair doesn't feel any different at least.]

[Really he's not so different from usual; only in ways that have nothing to do with what he looks like, and everything to do with what's going on. Kissing her, Tommy is perfectly still, something that might seem inconceivable in comparison with his usual over-energetic self. The truth is it's all a matter of focus.]

[When she finally starts to pull away it's only because her lungs are in protest of her abuses. She doesn't go far when she does shift.]

[You'll excuse him, princess, if he looks a little pleased with himself.]

[She smiles] What is that look for?

Nothin'.

[He's not moving away, either.]

Mmhmm. [Good because she's leaning back in for another kiss. Deal with it, hero.]

[He certainly can deal with that, kissing her back, both arms around her now. It's safe to bet he won't be the first to pull away.]

[Then this will just have to be a nice, long kiss. And you know, suddenly it doesn't feel all that chilly out. Maybe even a bit warm.]

[See, there are unexpected upsides to baiting him. Though, of course, considering their last conversation this was more or less the inevitable way the afternoon was going to go.]

[It was, but sometimes it's fun to read the book even if you've heard the spoilers. There are still nice surprises after all.]

[He does, eventually, take his turn to break for breath, but doesn't pull away from her when he does. Truth be told he hasn't really thought much beyond the kissing her part, so he has no clue what to say.]

[If it were something they were discussing they'd find they were on the same page there.] Should we... [Not sure what she should ask or propose.] Maybe this isn't the best place?

[He loosens his grasp on her just a bit, since it looks like probably they're not going for the record on makeout round three.] Maybe. [Then again, maybe not. Maybe they should just... leave it at that, because probably taking this any further should not be something they do on a curse weekend. Even if she seems fine.]

Maybe we should get that coffee? Or hot chocolate. [She's not that in to coffee.]

Sure.

[He takes a small step back, back so they're almost side by side again, and offers his arm. Not exactly as if nothing ever happened but certainly moving in a different direction than just a moment ago.]
